The Farm

Finca Buenos Aires is situated within the ‘coffee triangle’, an area 15 years ago renown for the highest coffee production in Colombia. It’s cool climate, altitude and fertile volcanic soil make for ideal coffee growing conditions. This, coupled with Felipe’s innovative and careful natural processing techniques make for seriously good coffees.

This coffee was carefully hand picked in order to use only the ripest cherries and natural processed at La Pradera washing station, which sits roughly 200 meters from his farm. This extremely small microlot is made up of 100% Castillo variety.

This extremely small microlot is made up of 100% Castillo varietyA deep and complex cup with berries, stonefruit and red wine.  Blackcurrant pastilles burst through with a sugary sweetness, an elegant espresso and a super fruity filter.

We recently entered this coffee into the pour over filter category of the 2018 Golden Bean roasting awards and took home a bronze medal.
